The Live African American Museum serves to educate, celebrate and honor history. It was the vision of Rev. Dr. Howard C. Earle, Jr., eighteen years ago. On February 24, 2024, in partnership with Woodland Mall, the New Hope Baptist Church Drama Ministry presented its 10th showcase for the Greater Grand Rapids community.

Historical personalities highlighted various fields of achievement: Politics, Education, Civil Rights, Journalism, Poetry, Inventions, Entertainment and Sports.

"A Cast of twenty individual speakers and two dance groups of nine people, were awesome and amazing in their representation portrayals," said Dr. Catherine Large, Drama Ministry Leader she added, "The Drama Ministry Team of: Thelma Jean Pitmon, Virgina Earvin, Letitia Levi, and Sharon Patterson were most effective and efficient in efforts to yield another successful year of the New Hope Baptist Church Live African American Museum."
